Cedars Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a skilled and compassionate Family Liaison Teacher to join the team at Cedars High Heworth, our new specialist provision for students with moderate learning difficulties and SEMH needs.

Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity to step away from a classroom-based role and take on a non-teaching position focused on student wellbeing, family engagement, and strategic SEND support. You will have no timetabled teaching commitments but will lead across the school on:

Coordinating and chairing EHCP reviews

Delivering targeted, high-quality SEMH and wellbeing interventions

Supporting transitions and building relationships with families
-
Leading multi-agency working
-
Promoting a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing

Designing and delivering staff CPD

SEND Teacher (KS4-5)
Cedars Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join the team at Cedars High Heworth, our new specialist provision for students with moderate learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
You will be responsible for delivering to Key Stage 4 and 5 students with complex cognitive and emotional needs, planning and assessing the curriculum through a creative and cross-curricular approach tailored to individual learning profiles.
The successful candidate will be flexible and will enjoy the challenge of leading the delivery of a student-led curriculum where Preparation for Adulthood and access to the community are key to ensuring that our young people are “fit for life” and ready for their next challenge beyond Cedars Academy. Commitment to working within a team approach is essential.

Experience of, or a willingness to learn how to support learning with symbol software and other communication packages is essential. You will be committed to working with children who have learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities and will be understanding of their learning and emotional needs. The role requires you to be an organised and reflective practitioner who will be able to work closely with other professionals and develop effective relationships with parents and carers.

Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated individual to support our catering function by preparing and serving meals, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and keeping kitchen equipment and dining facilities clean and organised. The role involves working alongside children with a range of complex learning and emotional needs, requiring patience and care.

We are looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant for 12 hours per week. However, for the right candidate with additional skills and experience, there may be the opportunity to increase this to 16 hours or more.
