Our school app
We launched our new Cedars Academy app in September 2026. It is how we keep in touch with you day to day: school news and photographs, messages about your child, the school calendar and consent forms. Parents' evening bookings and meal ordering will follow later this year.
It replaces Bloomz, which we stopped using in July 2026.

Getting started
1. Look for an email from The Cedars Academy. It was sent in early September. Please check your junk or spam folder, as that is where most people find it.
2. Follow the link in that email to set a password.
3. Download the Cedars Academy app using the buttons below, and sign in.
You can also use it in a web browser if you would rather not install an app.
Haven't had an invitation, or can't find it? Ring the school office on 0191 487 4595 and we will send you a new one.
It takes a couple of minutes. This is the most common thing we are asked, so please do not feel you are being a nuisance.
Using the app
Messages - things you need to see or act on. These send a notification to your phone. To message your child's class team, open Messages and choose your child's class mailbox.
Noticeboard - things to be aware of, like term dates, non-uniform days and reminders. They stay on the board until they expire.
Newsfeed - school life and celebration. Photographs and updates from your child's class and around school.
Your message goes to your child's class team rather than to one person, so that nothing is missed if a teacher is absent or covering another class. Only school staff can see it. No other parent can read what you send.
Anything you would rather not put in writing, or that you want to discuss with a specific person, is best as a phone call to the school office or ask to speak to our family liaison team.
