The school day

Arrival, learning and collection times differ between our two sites.

 

Low Fell

• 8.30 to 9.10am: Arrival, registration, breakfast and individual learning activities.

• 9.10am to 12pm: Morning learning session.

• From 12pm: Staggered lunch breaks of 45 minutes.

• 1.15 to 2.50pm: Afternoon learning session.

• 2.50pm: Parent collection and school transport.

 

Play is part of learning throughout the day. Classes take small groups outside at different points during each session, rather than having one fixed break time.

 

High Heworth

• 8.30 to 8.40am: Parent drop-off.

• 8.40 to 9am: Arrival by school transport.

• Morning: Learning session, including a 15-minute break timed to suit each class.

• 12.15pm: Lunch.

• 1.15pm: Afternoon learning session.

• 2.50pm: Parent collection.

• 3pm: Collection by school transport.

Arriving and going home

If your child travels on local authority transport, the transport team will confirm their pick-up and drop-off arrangements.

If you bring your child yourself, please arrive within your site’s drop-off window. Staff will be available to welcome them.

 

Emergency closures

If we need to close unexpectedly, for example because of severe weather or a heating failure, we will let families know as early as possible.
