School uniform
Uniform is different at each site. Branded items are optional, and supermarket uniform is welcome. Please choose comfortable clothing that is easy to wash and clearly label everything with your child’s name.
We understand that some pupils have sensory or physical needs that affect what they can comfortably wear. Please speak to your child’s class team if they need an adjustment.
Low Fell

Top: White polo shirt and royal blue sweatshirt.

Bottoms: Mid grey or black trousers, skirt or leggings.

Footwear: Black shoes or trainers, preferably with easy fastenings and suitable for active play.

Outdoor clothing: A warm, waterproof coat and a pair of wellies to keep at school.
Learning at Low Fell often involves outdoor, sensory and messy play. Please also send in a full set of spare clothes.
High Heworth

Top: White polo shirt and charcoal grey sweatshirt or hoodie for students in Years 7 to 11.

Bottoms: Mid grey or black trousers, skirt or leggings.

Footwear: Black shoes.

Outdoor clothing: A warm, waterproof coat.
PE and swimming kit
At both sites, pupils need:

A plain white T-shirt.

Blue or black shorts or joggers.

White socks.

Trainers.
For swimming or hydrotherapy, please provide a swimming costume, trunks or swimming shorts, a towel and goggles if preferred. Please avoid Bermuda shorts.
For health and safety, pupils should not wear jewellery.
Buying uniform
Items with the Cedars logo can be ordered through Logos Workwear and Schoolwear. Please select the correct Cedars site when ordering.
You do not need to buy branded uniform.
Second-hand uniform
We have a stock of spare, second-hand uniform at both sites. Please contact the school office or family liaison team to ask what is available.
We also work with the Gateshead West Uniform Scheme, which helps families access preloved school uniform.
